I Photograph

I’ve successfully installed the Slimbox plug-in for my blog. You can test it by clicking on the image of the Empire State building below. The only drawback I find at the moment is that the border around the image in the post doesn’t appear anymore. I’ll have to look into that… - 5 Minutes later: A slight adaptation to the CSS file solved the issue. I believe this blog is now setup the way I like it. From now on you won’t see much text anymore …

I’ve replaced the header image that came with the tamplate for this blog with one of my photos (taken in New York in November 2006). The next step will be to have a look at the writing in the header to make it come out more. I’ll probably incorporate a highlighted area in the image to bring out the text better. This will be done withing the next few days.

I’ve changed the underlying template for this blog. I’m very happy with this look and just need to adapt the header section to show one of my images and make sure the text is legible.

I just noticed that looking at this blog in an older version of Internet Explorer (older than 7, that is) causes the outer frame to turn blue and gets rid of the nice transparency you see in IE7 or Firefox - it also causes the left margin to be gone and generally makes the entire page look weird. I’ll have to see if I can resolve that somehow or change the underlying template entirely. I’ll be working on that in the next days.

I’ve setup this blog today as a ‘partner-blog’ to my ‘motorbikingchris.com‘ blog. Neither of the two show much content, yet. Obviously this is supposed to change over time. At the moment I’m still setting both of them up. The idea for this blog is simply photos - I’ll post a picture (or several) with a short comment every once in a while … Enjoy
